The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is indeed a rare find among Tagaytay’s hotels and resorts. This bed and breakfast and boutique hotel opened only in 2007, and is still what one may consider a ‘secret destination’, far removed from the crowds. Its classic design featuring a combination of stone floors and sparkling white walls is a welcome sight for visitors, and so is the furniture composed of different materials such as wood and iron.
Upon checking in, guests can choose among a wide array of different toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, soaps, gels, lotions, and room scents – all for free. For those whose backs or necks are extra sensitive, the boutique hotel also offers a pillow menu consisting of special pillows for backaches, headaches, anti-allergy, and memory pillows as well as body and side pillows. Guests who stay in their rooms would experience a total feeling of serenity and romance – and each room is named after a particular emotion.
The ‘I lust’ room is a presidential suite with a very lustful view from its private terrace of the Taal Lake and volcano, and it has a separate bathtub actually overlooking the lake itself. It also has a king-sized bed, a wall-mounted LCD TV, a DVD player, and iPod docks and speakers. The next room on the list is the ‘I dare’ room on the second level, which has the same amenities as the first room and comes with a mocha-colored theme. The ‘I desire’ room is enveloped in chocolate-colored hues, while the ‘I dream’ room is in heavenly white. The ‘I surrender’ room has a cream and powder blue motif, and the ‘I love’ room brings guests back to the Victorian era. The ‘I escape’ room is the last on the list, and it is a ground level suite and more secluded than the other rooms.
Meanwhile, the restaurant in the bed and breakfast features specialty Hawaiian Bar-b-que, which are barbecues combined with fruit marinades. Their full range of dishes include seafood curry, baby back ribs, salads, and barbecue and seafood platters for the extra hungry. Their breakfast menu – which can also be served in bed – includes continental breakfast, american breakfast, a hawaiian omelet feast, and even bulalo corned beef. After a signature meal, guests can also enjoy a luxurious Shiatsu or Swedish massage, and reflexology or aromatherapy massages.
